Vital to Address Graduates at CSCC’s Spring Commencement Ceremony

April 20, 2018 — Cleveland State Community College will hold its annual spring Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 5 at 10 a.m. in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium. Greg A. Vital has been chosen as the keynote speaker for the ceremony. In January 2017, Cleveland State Community College announced the creation of Greg A. Vital Center for Natural Resources and Conservation, the college’s first named academic program. The Center supports the Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries Program and the Agriculture Program at Cleveland State and brings together students, educators and working professionals in natural resources, agriculture, industry and parks to identify and apply effective solutions to the challenges that arise at the intersection of the natural environment and human development. CSCC Women's Basketball Team Joins Downtown Cleveland Volunteer Effort

April 20, 2018 — Cleveland resident and community volunteer, Jeremy Quirk, and members of the Cleveland State Community College Women's Basketball Team joined together on Saturday, April 7th, to complete the first of a series of Downtown Cleveland volunteer clean-up efforts planned by Quirk. He took the personal initiative to randomly perform some basic litter clean-up in his neighborhood, and in a section of the downtown area, with just a five-gallon bucket and a “picker” stick.   Read more about CSCC Women's Basketball Team Joins Downtown Cleveland Volunteer Effort

P-16 Summer Summit Scheduled for June 6

April 12, 2018 — Cleveland State Community College will be partnering with the Tennessee Education Technology Association (TETA) and the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) to host their annual P-16 Summer Summit on Teaching with Technology on Wednesday, June 6 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. This conference is open to teachers, principals, supervisors, and all interested parties throughout the state. Tennessee Academy of School Leaders credit will be awarded to requesting participants and participation hours will apply to license renewal for teachers.  Read more about P-16 Summer Summit Scheduled for June 6

Torbett Benefits from CSCC's Advance Program

March 23, 2018 — Travis Torbett was happy in his position as a production supervisor at Olin Chemical, but knew that one day he’d like to pursue a management role which would mean he’d have to have a college degree. With the encouragement of his production manager, he chose to enroll in Cleveland State’s Advance Business program. January 11, 2018 — Cleveland State Librarian Maud Mundava has been selected for the 2018–2019 Association of Research Libraries (ARL) Leadership Fellows program, a cohort of 30 senior-level librarians from around the country who will participate in a year-long deep study within the profession. January 02, 2018 — CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The holiday season is upon us, but the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) season is, as well! According to Jamie Hamby, Cleveland State Director of Financial Aid, Tennessee Promise students must have their 2018-2019 FAFSA completed by January 16 along with those wishing to qualify for the Tennessee Student Assistance Award. Athletic Department Announces 2018 Hall of Fame Class

January 02, 2018 — The Cleveland State Athletic Office announces its 2018 Hall of Fame Class to be inducted on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at the Cleveland Country Club. The induction ceremony will precede the Cleveland State men’s and women’s basketball games vs. Jackson State at 2 and 4 p.m. All inductees will be recognized between the men’s and women’s basketball games. The class will represent Cleveland State Athletics from the 1980’s and 90’s in the sports of men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball, tennis and golf. Cleveland State Students Participate in TISL

December 09, 2016 — Cleveland State Community College had nine members of its Student Senate participate in the 47th General Assembly of the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature (TISL) held at the state Capital recently. Students served as either house members, senators, media representatives or lobbyists and were part of a total group of more than 300 students from nearly 40 different colleges and universities across the state. CSCC Music Department Presents Holiday Concert

December 05, 2016 — The Chamber Choir and Vocal Rhapsody Ensemble of Cleveland State Community College will present a concert celebrating the end of the fall semester, Cleveland State’s 50th Anniversary and the holiday season on Thursday, December 8 at 7 p.m. in the George R. CSCC and TRDA Hold Ribbon Cutting for new Monroe County Center

November 25, 2016 — Cleveland State Community College and the Tellico Reservoir Development Agency (TRDA) Foundation recently held a ribbon cutting at CSCC’s new Monroe County Center to signify the official donation of the property from the TRDA to the CSCC Foundation.
