Social Work Student Spotlight – Emily Henry

March 12, 2024 — Meigs County native, Emily Henry, is a full-time student majoring in social work. She will graduate in May and transfer to Tennessee Wesleyan University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in social work. Her goal is to work for a non-profit organization or a local school system. Curiosity and Solutions – An Engineer’s Journey

March 11, 2024 — A chemical engineer, process engineer, development engineer and manufacturing engineer, Mary Cole, an adjunct instructor at Cleveland State Community College, loves to make things, solve problems and learn new skills. According to Cole, the two most important qualities of a good engineer are “an insatiable curiosity and the ability to problem solve on the fly. Entrepreneurship Event - Student and Community Pitch Winners

March 06, 2024 — The George R. Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Cleveland State Community College recently hosted an Entrepreneurship Event that included student and community pitch competitions as well as a vendor expo with local businesses. The two-day event was sponsored by the Lynn Jones Foundation, the Cleveland Bradley Business Incubator and the Small Business Development Center. Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Named REACH Chapter

March 06, 2024 — The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter at Cleveland State Community College has been named a 2023 REACH Chapter by the national Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. The recognition celebrates and rewards PTK chapters excelling in membership engagement by achieving exceptionally high rates of membership acceptance in the 2023 calendar year. Million Dollars To Cleveland State

November 11, 2019 — As soon as Cleveland State Community College President Dr. Bill Seymour dots all the I’s and crosses all the T’s, the Tennessee Board of Regents College of the Year will be the proud recipient of a million dollar grant. The award, which actually will amount to $999,956.00, will help grow advanced technology and work-based learning opportunities for present and future students of Cleveland State. February 18, 2019 — The results are in! The Community First Awards Committee received over 50 nominations seeking to honor individuals across nine categories. Nominations were judged based on the nominees’ extraordinary commitment of time, talent or treasure to the community. There were a total of 11 winners for the individual categories. According to Jamie Hamby, Cleveland State Director of Financial Aid, Tennessee Promise students must have their 2018-2019 FAFSA completed by January 16 along with those wishing to qualify for the Tennessee Student Assistance Award. Athletic Department Announces 2018 Hall of Fame Class

January 02, 2018 — The Cleveland State Athletic Office announces its 2018 Hall of Fame Class to be inducted on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at the Cleveland Country Club. The induction ceremony will precede the Cleveland State men’s and women’s basketball games vs. Jackson State at 2 and 4 p.m. All inductees will be recognized between the men’s and women’s basketball games. The class will represent Cleveland State Athletics from the 1980’s and 90’s in the sports of men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball, tennis and golf. Cleveland State Students Participate in TISL

December 09, 2016 — Cleveland State Community College had nine members of its Student Senate participate in the 47th General Assembly of the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature (TISL) held at the state Capital recently. Students served as either house members, senators, media representatives or lobbyists and were part of a total group of more than 300 students from nearly 40 different colleges and universities across the state. CSCC Music Department Presents Holiday Concert

December 05, 2016 — The Chamber Choir and Vocal Rhapsody Ensemble of Cleveland State Community College will present a concert celebrating the end of the fall semester, Cleveland State’s 50th Anniversary and the holiday season on Thursday, December 8 at 7 p.m. in the George R.
