Emergency Education at Cleveland State Soaring Into 2020

January 27, 2020 — In 1991, Cleveland State Community College began equipping emergency medical personnel through the college’s EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) program. Since then, the college has started AEMT (Advanced EMT) and Paramedic programs. Though the total number of students in these programs traditionally hovers around fifty, the 2019 Fall semester started with seventy-five students. And this growth is coming just in time. January 27, 2020 — The State’s first Honors College within the Tennessee Board of Regents system has selected its first leader in Dr. Victoria Bryan. The Nursing Explosion: Cleveland State Leading Charge

January 27, 2020 — Over the next 10 years, the nursing field is expected to see a 12% growth in available nurses. However, even with this kind of professional growth, the latest generation of Americans hitting their golden years is still expected to leave this field lacking in a number of needed professionals. For this region of the nation, that’s where Cleveland State Community College comes in. As a result, the Cougar Nation is experiencing a nursing boom of its own. Part Of The Foundation: The Cantrell Legacy at CSCC

December 18, 2019 — Cleveland businessman and Cleveland State Community College (CSCC) alum Jonathan Cantrell is literally paving the way for his Alma Mater’s future. His company, Caldwell Paving Company, put the first work in this month on the construction of the new Health and Science Center opening at CSCC in 2021. Growing Our Future

January 19, 2017 — Some important announcements were made at Cleveland State Community College on Thursday. In the college’s “Growing Our Future” press conference held in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium, Dr. Bill Seymour and other representatives from CSCC shared plans for new athletic sports programs, enhanced academic programs and a significant financial contribution which will result in the first named academic program at the college.
