Dual Enrollment Students Graduate with Associate Degrees Before High School Diplomas

May 07, 2019 — Julianne Carter and Savannah Buffington are not your normal community college graduates. They are dually enrolled home schooled students who graduated from Cleveland State Community College on Saturday with associate degrees before they officially even graduate with their high school diplomas! Sutherland Applies Skills Learned from CSCC to Save a Life

May 07, 2019 — Cleveland State student Brandt Sutherland has a reason to thank his instructor, Dr. Eddy Dye. A few weeks ago, Sutherland was able to apply the lessons he learned from Dye’s Anatomy and Physiology class and perform the Heimlich maneuver saving the life of his best friend who was  choking at the time. FYS Students Use Service-Learning Project to Make a Difference

April 23, 2019 — Dual enrollment students in Cleveland State Community College’s First Year Seminar (FYS) class at Cleveland High School are making a difference in their classmates’ lives through their service-learning project. The students decided to raise money to help their special needs classmates attend the Cleveland High School Prom on May 4 at the Museum Center at 5ive Points. Bradley Central and Walker Valley High Schools Pass Level 1 SMSCP Certifications

April 16, 2019 — Cleveland State Community College recently held a ceremony for students from Bradley Central and Walker Valley High Schools who successfully passed the Siemens Mechatronics Systems Certification Program (SMSCP) Level 1 certification. Students take the first four of ten mechatronics courses in the first semester to be prepared for the Level 1 certification. Cleveland State’s Advanced Technologies department is a partner school with the SMSCP, a globally recognized technology leader in mechatronic engineering. Growing Our Future

January 19, 2017 — Some important announcements were made at Cleveland State Community College on Thursday. In the college’s “Growing Our Future” press conference held in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium, Dr. Bill Seymour and other representatives from CSCC shared plans for new athletic sports programs, enhanced academic programs and a significant financial contribution which will result in the first named academic program at the college.
