Cleveland State Community College has a variety of scholarships available to both current and prospective students, traditional and non-traditional, but the deadline to apply for these is approaching soon!

All students are eligible to apply for the following scholarships by March 1:

Diversity Scholarship: (up to $2000) – Requires a minimum 2.5 GPA and 19 composite ACT score. Priority is given to students with need, adults and STEM applicants.

Diversity Access Scholarship: (up to $2000) – Requires a minimum 2.5 GPA and 19 composite ACT score. Diversity Access is for first-time college students. Priority is given to students with need and STEM applicants.

Diversity Scholarship recipient Dennis Goodine, said, “I was ecstatic when I found out that I received the Diversity Scholarship. “I had to pay out of pocket one semester, so I know what that’s like! Having a scholarship is a true blessing!”

Goodine continued, “The staff in the Financial Aid office at CSCC were extremely helpful, especially Eric Harris and Emily Chapman. They really went above and beyond—answering all of my questions and helping me fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). I would just like to encourage everyone who meets the criteria to apply for scholarships such as this one. It was such a blessing.”

Goodine will graduate from CSCC with his associate degree in Mechatronics Technology in May of 2019.

Dakota Shaw, Diversity Access Scholarship recipient, stated, “I found out about this scholarship from a spokesperson that came to my high school and talked me through all the scholarships that were available for me. I knew this scholarship would help me with transportation needs, as well as books and fees required for my classes.”

Shaw continued, “I would highly recommend this scholarship to everyone. It is well worth the time and effort. My short time at CSCC has been a blast. All of my professors are very helpful, along with the entire CSCC staff. The employees have been very welcoming and have made my experience fun and unforgettable.”

Shaw will graduate with an associate degree in Mechatronics Technology in May of 2020.
