February 10, 2017 — Before he enrolled in Cleveland State Community College’s welding boot camp, Joshua Brooks had never even watched a welder at work. But two weeks after the five day boot camp at the college, Brooks was employed with Miller Industries bringing home almost $800 a week not counting his overtime pay. CSCC Expands Medical Assisting Program

February 10, 2017 — From student to adjunct to director, Karmon Kingsley, CMA (AAMA), MSAH, has served in many roles in Cleveland State’s Medical Assisting program seeing many changes along the way. She has served as the Director of the program since 2005, and since that time, the program has grown significantly—so much so that the college will be adding another full-time faculty member in an effort to double the enrollment in this highly successful health-care program. CSCC’s Dedicatoria Completes Solo Art Exhibit on Cultural Diversity

January 30, 2017 — As a child, CSCC student Bianca Dedicatoria was bullied, and after working on her recent art exhibition, she realized she wasn’t alone. After interviewing 40 students and faculty members, Dedicatoria discovered that almost all of those interviewed had experienced some form of discrimination because of their ethnicity. Growing Our Future

January 19, 2017 — Some important announcements were made at Cleveland State Community College on Thursday. In the college’s “Growing Our Future” press conference held in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium, Dr. Bill Seymour and other representatives from CSCC shared plans for new athletic sports programs, enhanced academic programs and a significant financial contribution which will result in the first named academic program at the college. January 19, 2017 — When twin brothers Clay and Matt Pankey enrolled in Cleveland State’s honor’s program in the fall, they didn’t really know what to expect, but with one semester under their belt and both having earned a spot on the President’s List, CSCC’s highest academic honor, they now recommend the program to others. Cleveland State Puts Community First With Disaster Relief Efforts

January 05, 2017 — When Cleveland State Community College heard about the tornado devastation experienced by two of the counties in its five-county service area, the CSCC faculty and staff swung into action to assist with relief efforts! Campus leadership formed an emergency response team to create a plan for supporting communities in need of assistance.
