What is Chemistry Emphasis: General Transfer Major, A.S. (TTP)?
The Chemistry emphasis is designed to prepare students for transfer to a bachelor’s degree granting institution. This program prepares students for more advanced study in a pathway through which students can pursue careers in natural science, engineering, medicine, allied health or science education.

What can I do with this degree?
An Associates (AS) or advanced (BS, MS, PhD) degree in Chemistry provides the training necessary for a number of jobs in industry, academia, and government. Some popular in our local service area include:
Chemical Technician (AS): Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.
Chemist (advanced degree): Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses or experiments in laboratories for quality or process control or to develop new products or knowledge.

GRADUATION - Apply to graduate by completing the online Intent to Graduate form. This can be found under the Graduation Tab within the Registration Tools and Forms on Cougarnet. You will need to schedule to take your exit exam and/or program test at mycs.cc/testing. These will be taken in the Testing Center. CONGRATULATIONS! After you complete this semester's courses and maintain an overall 2.0 GPA, you will be a Cleveland State Graduate! |
