CLEVELAND, Tenn.- Since the beginning of the year, Cleveland State Community College has been making several changes to its campus and to faculty and staff. CSCC continues to grow and evolve, and the college’s latest decision shows just that.

CSCC President Dr. Bill Seymour recently chose Doyle Hawkins as the new assistant director of Institutional Research for the college.
Hawkins, a graduate of CSCC, and has dedicated almost 27 years to servicing the college.
He worked nine years as a cashier in the business office, five years as an admissions coordinator, and has served over 13 years in the Institutional Research department, where he currently works.

“Doyle Hawkins has worked at Cleveland State for over 25 years,” stated John Squires, executive director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and executive director for Advancement and Planning. “His knowledge of Cleveland State Community College and his experience working with state and federal agencies make him the perfect choice to serve as the assistant director of Institutional Research.”

Before being promoted, Hawkins worked in the department as a technician. He coordinates the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, coordinates and submits the Quality Assurance Funding to THEC, as well as other types of federal reporting.

Prior to coming to work for his alma mater, Hawkins held a position as secretary/treasurer for Highland Construction Company. He then consulted for Coca-Cola and was an assistant treasurer for Cherokee Valley Saving Bank.

“I would like to thank Dr. John Squires, as well as Dr. Seymour, for this great opportunity to now serve as assistant director of Institutional Research,” stated Hawkins. “With my 13+ years of working in Institutional Research, I will continue the role I currently do, as well as manage the team in Institutional Research and Effectiveness.”
